Happy autumn, beauty addicts! To celebrate the arrival of this fabulous new season, I’ll be sharing my favorite products from skincare to moody beauty products. Read on to discover all my faves, then share yours with me on IG!
1. Elemis Pro-Collagen Insta-Smooth Primer
This is the ultimate hybrid product of beauty and skincare. This is my go-to product when I want that impeccable air-brushed look. It diminishes my pores immediately after first application. This product soaks into the skin so well it doesn’t leave any residue and itsn’t sticky or tacky at all. Fine lines and pores stand no chance against this particular primer thus why it’s perfect for a more mature skin type. It’s also an anti-aging product, so you’ll feel an immediate lifting when applied.
2. Benefit Precisely, my Brow Eyebrow Pencil
I have tried many eyebrow pencils and I mean MANY. I can't find anything close to looking like natural individual hairs until this particular pencil. It is fantastic! This brow pencil draws incredibly yet precise natural-looking, hair-like strokes that last 12 budge-proof hours. It has an ultra-fine tip which has the perfect mix of hard and soft formula to create hair-like strokes on both skin and hair. Wonderful product.
3. Marc Jacobs Retexturizing Gel Créme
This Marc Jacobs product exceeded my expectations in every way possible. I am so happy this brand now provides skincare. I applied this product before bed the first time and woke up to my skin looking supple, smooth, and few of my blemishes disappeared. It’s such a great product for my sensitive skin especially during winter months.
4. Murad Clarifying Cleanser
For all of us fighting adult acne, this Murad product was made for us. It has Salicylic Acid and Queen of Meadow Extract that helps fight breakouts and keep pores clear of acne-causing debris. It is amazing for exfoliating the upper layer of the skin and prevents dead surface skin buildup. I use it to Wash 2x a day (morning/night), and skin is visibly smooth and without breakouts. It also has a refreshing scent unlike most acne-fighting cleansers.
5. Too Faced Born this way Powder foundation
When my skin started breaking out, this foundation saved my skin. It's the powder foundation I have tried yet. It’s full coverage makes your skin look beautiful because the formula is super velvety & has a blurring effect on the skin. If you are staying away from liquid foundation for a while, you won’t be disappointed with this product. Simply apply it with a brush over moisturizer/sunscreen and you are good to go!
6. Milani Baked Blush
I don’t think I know a single lady who doesn’t have this baked blush in their makeup collection because it’s one of those blushes that lives up to its reputation. However, just in case there is a single lady out there who doesn’t, this blush is amazing! They come in over 7 colors, I believe. I’ve purchased so many expensive blushes over the years but somehow I always go back to this one. It is exceptional for dark skin girls because it is highly pigmented. The peachy-orange one is my favorite as it mimics a natural flush and looks very natural. It is available at almost all your local drug stores.
7. Caudalie S.O.S Intense Moisturizing Creme
When you have sensitive skin like mine, my skin tends to get VERY DRY during the winter months. This Caudalie Moisturizer is amazing at keeping my skin soft and smooth under makeup because although moisturizing, it isn’t greasy at all. Without it, my skin is very patchy and flakey. Less is definitely more because the texture is quite rich. It has squalene in it which is by far my favorite product in all my skincare products. The scent is also beautiful and light. It’s certainly a must-try for fall, you won’t regret it.
8. SkinCeuticals Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier
SkinCeuticals make the best products on the market. SKINCEUTICALS H.A. intensifier is my go-to for my sagging skin. My skin has become increasingly dehydrated over the years so I have tried a lot of products to replenish my skin especially after exfoliating to help replenish all the moisture stripped off. The very first time I used this my face glowed, and I'm talking right when I put it on. It has a very nice texture, absorbs well on my skin and smells amazing. What more can we ask for?
9. COVERGIRL TruBlend Undercover Concealer
I was sent this from my CoverGirl family. I just love how inclusive the brand is. Not only is this concealer affordable, It delivered beyond my expectations with how much coverage. It’s perfect for mature skin. It is high coverage even when using the tiniest amount, stays put, long-lasting, and no creasing. All you need to use is the tiniest amount. Sheer it out with a beauty blender, set it with the tiniest amount of It and, voila Bye Bye Pores. The best part? It last 24 hours and comes in EVERY SINGLE SHADE!
10. Rodan + Fields Unblemish Clarifying mask
This mask is my holy grail. It is impeccable for unclogging pores and removes impurities from the surface of skin in just 10 minutes. It’s truly a miracle worker for acne-prone skin. From everything from acne blemishes, acne pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads. It has Tea Tree Oil which is an amazing ingredient for reducing breakouts in the long run.
11. Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
Nothing works better on my stubborn age spots, sun spots and acne scarring than this Drunk Elephant product. It came into my life at the perfect time when I was getting bad acne-scarring. At first, I thought the price is a bit hefty but I thought why not? I paid the price and within A WEEK, the tiny acne scars around my jaw were completely GONE. The age spots faded soon after, my whole face brightened and tightened.. This brand in general is unreal but my God, this particular product is worth all the hype.
12. Image Skincare AGELESS Total Pure Hyaluronic6 Filler
Saved my favorite for last because this is my holy grail. I originally purchased this at a random spa here in Los Angeles and I am addicted. Hyaluronic acid is a must in any woman’s skincare routine over the age of 30. Hyaluronic fluid is an absolute necessity to help retain moisture to your skin. Add a drop to your moisturizer and your skin will thank you. Especially in the winter seasons! You can feel the difference because it is hydration at its finest. I use it both in my morning and nighttime routine.
