5 Skin-Care Products to Treat Body Acne, According to Dermatologists

Goodbye Bacne! Simply click the name of each product to purchase.

I worked with SkinCeuticals last year and fell deeply in love with the brand. So, I started slowly investing in a few of their products. I picked up their Clarifying Cleanser from Dr. Cassileth's office and wow, what a game-changer. This cleanser is perfect for people with sensitive skin like myself because they do not add fragrances to their products and focus more on the ingredients that are going to help your skin. I'd stay away from using this daily but rather twice a week at the most.

"I love a brand that is affordable yet works well."

I love a brand that is affordable yet works well. Neutrogena has been my go-to since high school and I'm so happy I rediscovered their body wash. I use it with a back scrubber brush & it does seem to keep my skin smooth. This is a perfect quick cheap fix to your Bacne and perfect for daily use.

"This body soap isn’t just perfect for acne but also for hyperpigmentation because it lightens dark spots over time."

This brand has such a cult following and for good reasons. This body soap isn’t just perfect for acne but also for hyperpigmentation because it lightens dark spots over time. It has such a light, clean fragrance, and lathers very well. It's not overly drying, but it definitely leaves my skin feeling very clean. It is a bit more expensive for a body wash, but a little goes a long way, and this bottle is large enough to last for a few months at least. It is also suitable for daily use.

"It's exfoliating enough, but not drying to the point where my skin is dry and cracked or feeling itchy and tight."

I have heard about this cleanser for bacne for years. This body seemed to lead when it comes to treating acne. It works well, isn't too drying and has a decent scent. I like that Ulta is carrying it now so that it's easier to get. It has little scrubbing beads that help with blemishes. It's exfoliating enough, but not drying to the point where my skin is dry and cracked or feeling itchy and tight. Use heavy moisturizer afterward to keep you from being itchy.

A body wash that is medicinal, yet smells good? Sign me up! This product is amazing with clearing up acne without drying your skin out. My skin is also a little sensitive and this did not irritate it at all. This is the perfect body wash after working out. The best part? It’s only $10.

"Change your towel regularly, as damp dirty towels can grow bacteria."

All in all, introduce some sort of salicylic acid body wash to your daily routine in the shower. Change your towel regularly, as damp dirty towels can grow bacteria which you then transfer to raw (and sometimes open) acne skin. Change your sheets frequently as well for the same reasons. Also, showering after exercise reduces the ability of oils to get stuck in your pores.
